Ambara Jute Rug – Black And Natural

This beautiful Ambara jute rug from Nkuku is handwoven using traditional looms. The contrasting black and natural jute create this lovely eye catching pattern to the runner. It has been handmade from eco friendly Jute that is a natural hardwearing material. The pattern has been created by weaving and looping the thread to make the tactile surface to the rug.

These jute rugs are skilfully woven using age-old methods and traditional handlooms. Jute is a great eco product as it is a rain-fed crop that has little need for fertiliser or pesticides. It is a natural vegetable fibre that can be spun into strong and durable threads.
